Much the same as other reviews - have used before for MOT and seemed decent & genuine enough, but following breakdown they took a month to get car back to me (same problem electrician required - was mucked around saying it will be tomorrow, next week, end of week..just went on and on) only for it to breakdown again. It also developed faults that were not there before. When I went to complain I was pretty much told it was my problem they had fixed some bits, and it wasnt their problem I had been inconvenienced, no money was refunded. Very disappointing considering I had said to them at an earlier stage that if I needed to take it to another garage I would. Thoughout the time also receptionist seemed \'inconvenienced\' by me calling to ask what was going on as no one had bothered to call and let me know. ...

Been using Byres Road garage for a long time, but have since fallen out with them for messing me around. Took my car in for an MOT on the Friday which failed on a few silly things. They said they couldnt fix it until the following Wed, which I agreed to. Picked the car up on Wed, and they hadn’t fixed anything at all! Not even a new wiper blade or the other work I had asked for! Said it had an electrical problem and they would have to get an auto electrician to fix it but he couldnt look at it until the following Monday. Have now given up and taken the car to a Mercedes specialist. Is a shame because I have used them frequently in the past....

the garaage is reasonabley priced, however they are selective in the jobs they take on. I.e if its a head gasket for a known faulty car they won\'t touch it as you may end up taking it back to them to complain. Also its very difficult to speak to an actual mechanic as the receptiontist tends to run the front desk, and although you explain technicallly what you want done , its not always the case that it gets done, due to a technical communication break down....
